与时俱进，跨入Siemens时代

话说天下大势，分久必合，合久必分，EDA tools市场的兼并就没有停止过……，Mentor已经被Siemens收购好几年了。

从去年开始，官网上偷偷出现了一个SiemensLicenseServer_v2.2.1.0_Lnx64_x86-64的下载连接。但所有的工具还可以使用mgcld的daemon，甚至今年的calibre 2023_1也可继续使用mgcld.但到了tessent 2023.1，事情开始变了…明明有相关的license，但却报没有license了。

 

检查license日志，也不去check license.采用debug模式，会报daemon版本too old

把SiemensLicenseServer_v2.2.1.0_Lnx64_x86-64.bin下载下来，安装上。把daemon换为saltd，重新启动license，

VENDOR saltd /App/mentor/LicenseServer/siemens/saltd。再启动tessent -shell. 完美解决。

注意事项：

  1. 原来的MGLS_LICENSE_FILE变量可以继续使用，但优先级低于LM_LICENSE_FILE变量。如果同时有上述两个变量，LM_LICENSE_FILE变量优先。
  2. 可以使用SALT_LICENSE_SERVER变量代替MGLS_LICENSE_FILE变量。
